FREE Speed Camera Database

In light of PocketGPSWorld.com introducing a charge for "their" Speed Camera Database, GreedCameras.co.uk are looking to introduce a FREE database that will remain free for all UK Drivers.

GreedCameras.co.uk already has a substantial list of Fixed Speed Camera Locations and Mobile Locations but as yet, we have not published them online because the biggest and - to date - most reliable database was provided by PocketGPSWorld.com.

We use a combination of our own databases and the databases from PocketGPSWorld.com when driving in the UK, however the databases we release will be our own information, collated from many drivers and our own research.

GreedCameras.co.uk databases currently combine Mobile and fixed Gatso installations in the same database but we're working on seperating these into two files. The files will be available for FREE download when PocketGPSWorld.com apply their charges for the databases they currently offer FREE OF CHARGE.

Key Points:

• There will eventually be 8 databases: Gatso & Truvelo, Mobile, SpECS, Temp, ANPR, Redlight, Traffic CCTV and Police Presence.
• The databases will be available for download FREE OF CHARGE
• TomTom will be the initial supported application but we will expand into other SatNav software.
• Users will be able to email us to add new cameras to the database.
• Unlike PocketGPSWorld.com, deletions from our databases WILL NOT be made until we have verification the camera(s) have been taken out of service or, we get three or more removal requests for a specific site. This will safeguard against malicious or "law enforcement" removals.
  
• All information provided to us will remain free, we WILL NOT charge you for the compiled databases.
